Father & Son Photography is a heartfelt collaboration between a seasoned artist and his young protégé, blending decades of experience with fresh, youthful vision. 

Founded in November 2024, Father & Son Photography is the creative endeavor of Derek and his son, Declan—a dynamic duo united by a shared passion for capturing life’s most meaningful moments. The journey began decades ago when Derek first discovered photography while stationed at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. Armed with his first film camera, he immersed himself in the art of photography. Over the years, Derek honed his technique and developed a distinctive style rooted in authenticity and artistic expression. 

The spark that transformed a lifelong hobby into a professional pursuit came from an unexpected source: Derek’s son, Declan. At just seven years old, Declan showed a natural curiosity and enthusiasm for photography. With a camera slung around his neck, he eagerly followed in his father’s footsteps, capturing the world through his own lens. His entrepreneurial spirit and desire to share his work with others inspired the official launch of Father & Son Photography. 

Together, Derek and Declan bring a unique blend of experience and energy to their craft. Derek contributes over 20 years of photographic expertise, while Declan infuses each project with a fresh perspective and boundless creativity.
